Description

Permatac Butyl Tape is a Class A NFRC standard airtight sealing tape. Our high-performance airtight sealing tape has been developed using the most advanced technology available on the market and helps buildings and roof structures to meet the Building Regulations Approved Document Part L Standard Permatac Butyl Tape forms a part of our Easy Roof System approved installation guidance and is a required component to achieve the 40 Year Easy Roof Guarantee. Please follow this link for more information on our Easy Roof Guarantee. Permatac Butyl Tape ensures a waterproof seal around nail penetrations and an airtight seal between floor and timberframe junctions.

Storage and Installation Guidance: Permatac Butyl Tape should be applied to surfaces at a temperature range of between +4°C and +40°C. For best performance the surfaces should be clean, dry, and grease free. The product should be unwound and lightly pressed into position leaving the release paper in place. On forming the joint the release paper is removed and the closing surface pushed firmly in place, pressure applied along the length of the joint and mechanically fixed.
